Sporting resolutions - that's what the team has decided to do in 2023

At the beginning of the year you also think about what the year could look like. In addition to professional and family goals, your own fitness is often an important topic. After indulging in so many delicacies over the Christmas period, you may even be more motivated to get your body in shape.

In the last few days we have collected good resolutions for the New Year from our colleagues and are now introducing you to our favorites. Maybe they will serve as inspiration for your sporty 2023?

10,000 steps a day Merle's resolution

In the last year, the number on my fitness bracelet was often only four digits. My big goal for 2023 is to permanently reach 10,000 steps per day. I'd like to achieve this by walking to work more often and generally combating my comfort level a bit. If in doubt, I can of course also do a session on the walking band if the weather is anything but inviting.

Finally try HIIT Timm’s resolution

I often skip my training sessions or postpone them to other days because I simply don't have enough time. Just 10 minutes a day is enough for high-intensity interval training. For me, 2023 means: fewer excuses & just do it! Maybe I'll put the SportPlus airbike in my new apartment. There is hardly a better device for HIIT.

Keep a training diary - Clara's resolution

I put a calendar for myself under the Christmas tree for 2023. However, I don't enter my professional and private appointments here, but rather use it as a logbook for my sporting activities. At the end of the week you can look back and see what you have already achieved - that is certainly a great motivation in difficult times.

Sports with others? Why, surely! Joj's resolution

I'll be honest: As a team athlete, I'm tired of training just for myself, especially during the lockdown (who knows how long it will last and whether it will come back again?). That's why I'm working on building a network of friends who don't lose motivation even under difficult conditions. I would also like to become even more creative when it comes to digital sports (e.g. joint workouts via Zoom).

Drink more and automatically lose weight - half marathon or company run? The main thing is a goal!

I have now realized why I sometimes lose the motivation to exercise regularly. I'm missing a goal to work towards... I want to change that in 2023. Maybe I'll try a half marathon? At least I want to look good at the next company run! Some people will still be surprised. To measure my progress, I record my training sessions with an activity tracker. This motivates me and helps me to better assess my fitness level.
